Mind-blowing cleanliness, super convenient location, jaw-droppingly comfortable beds, A/C works like a charm, helpful and hilarious manager.

It is very clean. Owner is friendly and helpful. It is budget friendly. Rooms cleaned daily. Free wifi. Owner helped carry luggages up.
On 3rd floor and no elevator. Entrance hard to find at night. Had to circle the block a few time before figuring out where the front door is. It is a big and tall green wooden door at is locked from the inside. Just wait for someone to come through then you can go in Bring your own hair dryer.

Jose, the owner, was most welcoming and offered plenty of useful advice about nearby bars & restaurants. He made it clear that he was available 24x7, if any problems arose, and he checked regularly that everything was OK with me/my room. My room was spotlessly clean and serviced every day, and the hotel is well located for a city visit to Madrid. Excellent value for money.
I have no criticisms of Hostal Benemar.

This hotel is a gem in the heart of the city. I loved the central location near the Sevilla Metro station. It was so convenient to explore all the major attractions on foot or just a short subway ride away. The rooms were clean and spacious, with comfortable twin beds and a lovely view of the Museum of Romanticism. The owners provided great hospitality and the staff went out of their way to assist us despite the language barrier. The basic amenities like the modern TV and new air conditioner added to the overall comfort of our stay.
No major issues, everything was just fine!

Our room was relatively small, but a good enough size for a couple, and spotless clean. I loved the shiny marble floor. There was wifi as well as a desktop computer in the room, which turned out to be useful. The bathroom was brand new and towels were changed daily. It was also very warm considering the freeezing December weather while we were there. The hotel host was very friendly and helpful, and his English was good enough to communicate without any problems. The hostal is on the 2nd & 3rd floor of a rather beautiful old typical Madrid building with a wooden spiral staircase inside. We were given keys to get in and out independently so it was as if we had our own home in Madrid. It is also very central, so we hardly used the metro to see the city, even though a station is nearby (Tribunal). All this, at a very good price!
Only minor comment: a coat hanger in the room would have been handy!

The hotel was in a great location, with lots of shops and restaurants close by. the free wifi and daily cleaning service were nice bonuses.
The staff also seemed a bit unfriendly and uninterested in helping us find things to do in the area. the noise from the nearby clubs and bars kept us up all night, making it difficult to get any sleep.

We liked our stay very much. The staff are always ready to help. The hotel is very close (3 min walk) to the metro station TRIBUNAL, yet in a quiet street. The house has been recently repaired, so have the rooms. Every room contains a computer with the internet access, the PCs are old but good enough to check the directions and to stay in touch with family. The rooms are normally equipped, my smokers could use the balcony to go smoking (please notice that balconies in Spain are mostly rather small). The bathroom is clean and contains a bidet. The rooms were ideally cleaned every day, and the towels were changed.
I wish there were facilities for making tea/coffee.

The hostel is an optically pleasant multistory building located in a quite street in the central part of Madrid, a few minutes from the Gran Via and the Plaza Puerta del Sol, and very conveniently close to a Metro station. The rooms and the floors are simple but very clean. Most importantly, the entire hostel was COMPLETELY SMOKING-FREE - an important condition which still cannot be taken for granted in nowadays Spain, despite the strict smoking ban already in place. The host (a staunch non-smoker) of Benamar was not only extremely professional but very helpful in trying to meet the special requirements of his guests - plus he is very nice and respectful on a personal level. My experience with this hostel was extremely positive, exceeding my expectations (and believe me, I am usually very critical and skeptic). The prices for the rooms are fair.
I cannot complain about anything.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Central Madrid and had a fantastic experience. the location was perfect, as it was very close to the Sevilla Metro station. This made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city and getting around. Secondly, the attention to detail was impressive. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with twin beds and a lovely view from the balconies on the upper floors. The owners of this hotel were extremely hospitable and provided excellent service throughout my stay. Lastly, the breakfast offered was delicious and provided a great start to each day.
Everything was satisfactory.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a hotel in central Madrid, near the Sevilla Metro station. The location was perfect, as it was within walking distance to all the main attractions in the city. The hotel owners were very friendly and provided exceptional hospitality throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had all the basic amenities I needed, including twin beds and a great view of the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast offered at the hotel. It was a great way to start the day and provided excellent value for the price.
No improvements needed, everything was perfect.

Everything, really :-) Very friendly host, whose Spanish I could easily grasp (and he mine, I think !). Quiet, clean, warm, comfortable, well-located.
The lack of an elevator in the building is a small negative point. The hostel is on the second floor.

The location was very good, next to the two lively barrio's Malasana and Chueca. The room was comfortable and clean. Not a lot of space or other facilities, but we didn't need them.
You can hear a lot from other rooms, so if you don't go into the nightlife of Madrid, you might wake up when other guests come home. For us this was not problem at all.
Tourists from India often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
